Whilst in the past it may have been necessary to see a general medical practitioner when an eye condition required medical treatment, this service is now available at Dyson and Long. All optometrists in our clinics are therapeutically trained and endorsed to prescribe ocular medicines. PBS registration also ensures eligible patients receive their medicines at subsidised rates, via their regular pharmacy.

Prescription of ocular medicines may only occur after a thorough eye examination by one of our optometrists. Emergency appointments are generally available same day where applicable.
